Typography: Ambigrams

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: nothing gets me excited quite like a piece of truly surprising typography. And really, what is more surprising than an ambigram?! The process of creating an ambigram is a lot like solving a puzzle, in that the word must read both backwards and forwards, upside down and right side up. The designer has to knit the words together without sacrificing legibility, and when done properly, the effect is really rather exciting, don’t you think?
